trees flying up to their birds
everywhere i look shows signs that spring is making a return. the bright yellow forsythia is always the first thing I look for.
then the cherry blossoms.
then the light.
this week finds my eyes watery and red more days than not.
here is a short piece i made after an early morning walk around Ashland.

Outer Voice: Trajectories
Outer Voice, an artist collective I am a member of, has a group show opening later this week at Oregon Contemporary. The artists included are Julia Calabrese, Roland Dahwen, Bridgette Hickey, Leslie Hickey, KT Kusmaul, Sarah Rushford, Ash Stone and myself. I will be showing a selection of silent tape loop works and my piece “Twenty-Seven Tones”, 2017 - which was also a part of my show at Ox in 2023/24.
I will be doing a short performance in the gallery for the first Saturday event on April 5th. You can find more information here.
Thank you to everyone who has stuck with me. I know I’ve been very inconsistent over the last year. I’m still here and am glad you are too.

Lovely, lovely piece!
